Re: SICROCCO
They plugged their computer in and about 30 mins later it was finished. I live near their workshop so will be going to get it properly configured and tested in a week or two after an intercooler is fitted for even better performance.
They dont have a dyno as it doesnt produce true on the road performance levels and stats, therefore they do road tests to set the maps up correctly, bang on!
But OMFG the drive home was awesome, the grin never ended, it just keeps pulling and pulling, sweet power increase so happy with it.
Plus Revo software was 20% off aswell so perfect timing

Yeh their workshop is only about 20 mins away so if I need any advice or more Revo parts, or any part for that matter, they are where I would go!

Re: SICROCCO
Had complete stage 3 setup done last week, and its amazing!
Courtesy of Revo and work carried out by LVS Racing (Lincolnshire Volkswagen Specialists) they did a fantastic job and helped with info and knowledge a great deal!
Revo K04 turbo kit + new oil pick up pipe.
Revo stage 3 file.
Revo engine and trans mounts (already have torque mount insert).
Revo 370mm 4 pot front BBK.
EBC rear disc upgrade and Ferodo DS2500 pads in OE calliper (OE discs were 253m, new ones are 255mm and they fit fine no dramas).
Quaife LSD (02Q gearbox) + necessary new bearings and seals.
11mm front & 16mm rear wheel spacers and longer wheel bolts.
1 of 2 Forge aluminium boost pipes fitted, apparently the pipe that connects to the turbo doesnt fit the K04, but hopefully can be modded to fit in future.
Free oil and filter change.
Labour charges and I think thats it hehe.
Pleasure to drive!
For those of you with or planning on getting big power then definitely consider an LSD (Limited slip differential) it holds the power so much better!
Anyone in the midlands definitely give LVS Racing just outside Lincoln a ring if considering mods or work to be done or parts needed.
Also try Corten-Miller near Boston they are also brilliant and have a Dyno and Hunter wheel alignment too. (Did my lowering springs).

Re: SICROCCO
When you say REVO KO4 Turbo, what exactly does that mean? Have you got an KO4-064 turbo or a REVO produced KO4.

Re: SICROCCO
Its originally a Borg Warner K04 turbo that REVO take and tweak slightly, i believe, re-brand it as REVO but still full acknowledgment of Borg Warner.mvb12 wrote:When you say REVO KO4 Turbo, what exactly does that mean? Have you got an KO4-064 turbo or a REVO produced KO4.
Im not too sure what K04 means. Probably model number, like the standard one is a K03. K04 is the 'hotter' model.

Re: SICROCCO
Hi mate, what is the part number of the powerflex mount insert you used? It looks the same as mine, I have got the yellow one with part number PFF85-504 which I think it's for the pre 2008 cars? But it doesn't look that different to the 704, was just wondering if it will still fit... I have a 61 plate scirocco. Cheers!Psycho Kirky wrote:As soon as I started the engine again you could feel the difference, the vibrations when driving (lower rev range and even at idle are more noticable, but not a ' :o somethings broken' feeling. You can tell it is just the mount insert doing its job absorbing the movements it intends to
The original bolt was pretty tight and took some force to undo and the new bolt has a slightly bigger head, 22mm I think it was. The insert took some careful but rough hammering and will need a little oil or grease for lubrication. A little Loctite Studlock or Threadlock for added security and peace of mind on the new bolt, then nice and 'F T' so it doesnt vibrate loose (comes with new washers)
Simple enough mod just need some sturdy tools for undoing and tightening with a recommendation of Loctite You can feel the power getting to the wheels and onto the road a bit better, dont worry about the slight vibration increase, thats the nature of stiffer mounts
By the way the Insert literally inserts alongside the OEM mount, there is no need to remove anything other than the original bolt and washer!
