Morning all. Haven't posted for a while but thought I'd put out a bit of an update.
When I first bought it, I sprayed the callipers red as well as a couple of areas on the front grille.
Ive the last few weeks, I have managed to do the following:
- New 5-spoke alloys
- 20mm spacers
- Front dropped 30mm
- Rear dropped 40mm
- New black area sprayed to grille/bumper
- Paintwork clayed and polished
All in all, I think it looks much better
Not long after I bought it
With the new alloys and spacers
Looking mean!!!
Lowered
All finished and polished

Looking good, spacers does makes a lot of difference.Which brand of spacers did you use ?
And are you noticing anything with the ride comfort ?
In terms of ride comfort, no real change to be fair. It does feel a lot more planted now, especially on corners

Hi. I am trying to remove the front grille for my Scirocco. Manage to remove the 4 screws on top but cannot find any other screws to remove. It seems to be stuck with the bumper. I just wanted to change my R emblem on the grille.

Where did you buy them from? Mine have just blown so I need to replace them and might as well replace with a nicer looking white light. Do I need error free t10 w5w bulbs as I've read elsewhere on here? Thanks.

Finally fitted the single bonnet strut, easy mod and looks like the MK5 Golf OEM.

Only had my car a week, but something that drives me mad had to be sorted.
Nearly every Scirocco for sale online has dirty exhaust tips, like they've never been cleaned in the cars life. Mine was no different, covered in burnt on carbon, etc. Managed to clean them up quite a bit, but the metal is pitted in places. They'll do for now, and were a lot better than they were.

Look good. What did you use to get them so clean? I had a brief go at mine while detailing and quickly gave up as it was having zero effect.

Believe it or not, I used a combination of Brillo pads, bug/sap cleaner, Solvol, and LOTS of elbow grease.
Pitting was probably caused by not being cleaned by previous owners of my car. It was a good job I cleaned them as carbon/crap had blocked the drain holes in the underside of the tips.
