Those rotiforms on your Rocco' just look

When are you going to fit the rear R bumper & exhaust?

Thanks dude! The rear bumper was meant to be sprayed next month and exhaust the month after but I keep spending money on other things :grumpy: I've just booked a holiday so it will probably have to wait now until July haha.

I haven't updated here in a while. No real change really - I'm considering a new car at the end of show season so it's just staying as it is for the time being :)

A pic from the weekend whilst the sun was out for all of 5 mins... Parking in a ditch because you can't justify bags :D

Were did you get your splitter please pal ?
hey Ash, it was from a seller called hta-Subaru on eBay - very good quality and relatively easy to fit, would very much recommend! See here: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/310782714450?txnId=546935506021" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Coilovers are now on! Car feels so much better and ride comfort is great, I can't rate AP coilovers enough.

I'll let the pics do the talking... I've started off with a sensible height whilst they settle :)

...and also some new rubber arrived today, being fitted tomorrow along with tracking (both very much needed!)

Hope you guys like! Plenty more to come over the next couple of weeks!! :yippee:

Thanks Guys! Haha I'm really in two minds! If I keep the car, something special is needed - air or respray probably. I just need to make my mind up and stick to it

Fitting the splitter was easy Gary - just required some drilling on the underside of the bumper to fit the plugs and screws, then job done. Took me about an hour to fit it :)

Had a great weekend at GTi Springfest with the London Rocco's crew. Mark (quietresonance) got some absolutely cracking shots of the car and how it currently stands. I hope you guys like it!

Stay with the Rocco mate :), it is hard to find another car as special as the Scirocco (at least, that is my opinion).
After all, there are still a lot of mods to be done to it :)

Haha thanks guys! I am still undecided but that hasn't stopped me from spending out on the car hahaha.

It's been a expensive couple of weeks preparing for a long old road trip at the end of the month! I'm heading to EuroSunday in Belgium on the 29th May. Breakdown cover has been purchased, insurance sorted and hotel booked. Now to get the car ready!

First things first, bought some parking sensors for the rear bumper ready for the R line bumper to go on. They are genuine VW, but my intention was to just install them as "dummy" sensors to fill the holes. I may wire them in properly at a later date once I can get hold of the correct wiring (if anyone can help point me in the right direction for this it'd be a huge help!) :) They arrived black:

Image

So I sprayed them candy white to match the bumper... They came out really well, obviously it's only the round faces you will see once fitted. I'm really happy with them:

Image

And 4 new toyo tyres for the rotiforms ahead of the trip to Belgium - just to be on the safe side as I've currently only got 2.5mm tread left on the current ones haha:

More updates to follow soon. Hope you like!

So the weekend was a busy one!

I started off by respraying my Alcantara trimmed engine cover. I have no before pics, but it was previously a black cover. I plastidipped it dark grey - here's the result:

Image

I also took a 7.5hr round trip to pick up another piece to the expensive puzzle; a freshly painted genuine R line rear bumper. It's in mint condition as you'd expect and has a brand new genuine diffuser too. Sunday morning impatience got the better of me, so the first thing I did was fit it. I'll let the pics do the talking:

A pic with a friends 1 series last night:

It makes so much difference to the rear end, I love it! Exhaust and more carbon goodies are next...

Haha thanks guys! I knew someone would notice it - I didn't realise until after I took the picture but they sent me one tyre the wrong tyre size - doh! I'm still currently waiting on a replacement...

However, some good news! The pictures from my recent photoshoot at Volkswagen are out. I am over the moon with them! Here are a few, all will be uploaded on my Instagram (@tomhamsyo) in due course:
