Cheers, it had a winter protection detail a few weeks ago and I've had a fair bit of snow here since and haven't had a chance to clean it until today. I try to wash it every week, weather permitting. I enjoy it!

Yeh that's what I use.
Good stuff.
Since using it never had a problem with windows not dropping and freezing shut during winter

Been busy recently, all silver trims are now gloss black, treated the door rubbers to some of that gummi stuff, new wiper blades, r-line darker rear lights and the best bit, got my headlights back and I now have xenons!

Walter got a clean, a coat of Sherbert Fizz, and some powermaxxed winter coat plus a quick wheel clean and a slow drive round the block to remove surface rust on the discs - he's very jolly now
Have a great time Down Under Jack - Merry Christmas all

Image fitted bonnet gas struts - fairly easy job, pretty sure the bonnet isn't aligned properly now but nothing seems wrong or fouling anywhere - all works. Definitely a mod worth doing.

Since installing the xenons I've not been happy with them been on all the time as DRL's. So out with VCDS and a bit programming later, the xenons are no longer DRL's and switched the drl function to the side lights.

Today i installed the Kimun1 interface from Kenwood to get the climatronic settings on the screen of the head unit. The dnx525dab is specially made for vag cars. It has a perfect fit. It has the on screen climatronics, pdc, 2 camera inputs. Also steering wheel controls work, and mfa display also showing song/radiostations names now. For the turn by turn signs in the instrument cluster you need VCDS if you didn't had a navigation installation before.
Go to module 19 - can gateway and go to installation list. Now check the box 37.Navigation and save coding. Restart you car and you will have a navigation screen added wich will show the turn by turn signs when you are following a route in you navigation.
For this all to work you wil need a special interface from kenwood CAW-KIMUN1 wich cost 180 euro. This will only work from MY 2010 onwards. My car is build somewhere in June 2009 wich is the MY 2010 version. The unit works with iphone and Android. It's also possible to control your phone with the touchscreen of the radio. You will need an extra cable for that to work. The unit has Garmin navigation software installed on it.
