Had confirmation today that mine has Xenons fited

but no metal pedals

Sounds like these being standard fit is a bit of an urban myth? Have a set on order now. Hopefully collecting car this week, the long wait is almost over.

I got my car today, the DRLs on the xenons are cool as hell, they're the two inner halogen spots and look really cool (i think so anyway) so i'm deffo leaving them on. It's dark, snowy and very foggy here so i haven't had much chance to play, the car is filthy already though, having driven it back through mud and snow and grit, oh well.

Can you actually order xenons at the moment when speccing a car? VW site does not list them???

I was going to add them to my order but apparently the car has already been build (despite originally supposed to be being a week 9 build) which is a bit of a pisser but I guess it's saved me 800 quid!

If your car is built, unless you are delaying it's delivery it will be here well before your delivery tracker says..

I don't need it till april so that will suit me fine. Another 3 months of saving is less borrowed at the other end

hi guys,agree with DavidH.Xenon DRL are so cool.didn,t know that they had cornering lights as well.very helpfull when parking up at nite.i have had car for a week and still can,t stop smiling every time i get in it.worked out i had to wait 9months and 1 day from the day i put my deposit down.who ever has their car i know you are enjoying it and who ever is waiting for their car,you,re going to LOVE it........

I tried to add xenons to my spec but the dealer told me that they're not on the December price list.

How can this be if some of you guys are getting cars delivered with them?

Confused or what!

Any ideas?

I ordered in August for a Jan delivery.

Xenons were taken off the options list towards the end of 2008, think as of November.

I've read the website is due an update this week to add the 1.4d so they may put xenons back on in that.
