The green light on the rear view mirror was doing my head in on long night drives, took the front off it and covered the light with black insulating tape
Definitely reccomend if it annoys anyone else as much as me

Airbag off, wheel off, stalks off, change the control unit then the reverse of that, I bought a new wheel but you can buy the controls as a part that you change, refit everything then I got a local vag guy to code it up for me.
I think there's a thread here, it's about cruise control but it's essentially the same process

Did you see an improvement in visibility with the new bulbs? I'm disappointed with what the standard lights give but dont want to pay for xenons

I've just masked the grill off so that it stays factory on the honeycomb bit, fingers crossed it matches the other grills, I painted the tow eye cover tonight, looks good, want to flat it and put a final layer on before lacquer though, trying to be patient lol

Not really if I'm honest, it was more for it to look whiter cause I'm vain, they are possibly marginally better but it's been years now

I decided to wrap the sidelights/indicators in laminx light tint
Came out alright. Will look better with the grill surround when it's finished

Got hold of some b7 a4 DTM 18s on eBay
Promptly had them powder coated light anthracite by the wheel station in Glasgow who did a top job in less than a day with short notice
Here's a comparison
Not sure the Mrs enjoyed having them in the living room
And on the car
Looks high still but it was the day after the springs were fitted
Then some faffing with centrecaps
I ended up going through 3 sets before I finally found the correct size

Took the obligatory new wheel photos (before drl tint)
All this did was upset me as the offset isn't quite right so some 17mm spacers all round were in order
Fixed the offset issues
I took these on the was home today (shows tinted drl) will get decent ones eventually
The grill protect is ongoing, mainly because I cannot be bothered to mask it all up again
