Iphone satnav app

Ive got the factory bluetooth in the car but when it connects to the iphone the volume on the phone mutes, meaning I cant hear instructions from the sat nav app, anyone found this too and able to overcome it?

Seem to recall seeing a couple of free iPhone apps from Tomtom which might address this problem.
Otherwise you might have to try a wired connection to the head unit. Tomtom do an iPhone cradle but I don't think that will help and its not cheap.

Scratch that. They don't help.

I use an app called 'nav free' obviously byt he title its a free app,but, you can purchase postcode search, ad free version and speed camera updates for 59p each, I bought the lot and got to say the sat nav on it is as good as my Tomtom sat nav unit
