Rns510 sat nav question?

Post by GeoffCapes »

Hi guys after updating my firmwear to 1300, whenever I start the car up it thinks it's in Germany and can take 10 to 15 mins of driving to realise it's actually in the Uk? Any idea how I can get it to know it's in the Uk as soon as I start the car, rather than waiting 10 to 15 mins. Sure it never did this before the update?

Thank :?

It's known as "Regensburg syndrome" and is known issue. If you google RNS510 starting in Germany you'll find a wedge of info to search through.

Could you not update to a newer version such as 2720?

Hah, I lived in Regensburg for a year. Roc built in Reg? I thought it was just the BMW 3 series...

Fantastic city, I reccommend a visit (drive there and that way if you haven't fixed your prob yet it will be fine once your local :) )

I bet it is a nice city, fixed the problem by updating the firmware to 3810. :)
