Maps v6.1

Post by Algoz66 »

I received v6.1 mapping software. I put the disc in my drive, and after about 10 mins it asked me if I wanted to save or run from disc. I selected save. I then waited approx 45mins, with nothing appearing on the screen. I did occasionally hear a whirr/clunk from the drive, but nothing else. After about 50mins I ejected the disc as I could hear nothing else happening. It appears to have installed as I had to reset all the map options (petrol, airports, etc), but I don't know if it finished. I can't seem to find cameras as an option. Any ideas/suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

If it DID NOT finish, then It would have asked You, when You pushed the eject button, whether You want to cancel or wait untill finished. Well, at least it did that to me on map 6(.0)

Short version:

Camera's wouldnt be in as an option unless you had a modified disc with camera locations injected into the ISO.

Thanks Derboy and Bianco. I guess it did install ok, as when I went to work today, it showed all the new roads around Terminal 5.
Shame about the speed cameras -especially when you think they are standard on most sat-nav systems (or at least an option to purchase). Given that v6.1 is in the region of £200, you wonder what you are paying for.
