Scirocco DCC adaptive chassis control

Post by arutledge732 »

Hi there

Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere on the forums.
My 2010 Scirocco has a leaking rear left shock unfortunately. The car has adaptive suspension (normal, sport and comfort modes) which I don't really know much about to be honest.
I work in a motor factors and TPS are roughly £300+VAT per shock and more than likely both the rear ones will be best to change.

My wondering is can I replace them with standard shocks which are about a 10th of the price? Does anyone on here know that if I do this will there be an actual light on the dashboard which will result in MOT failure? (MOT is up next month too). Or is it just a matter of removing the light on the actual button to control the DCC?

If anyone has anymore helpful information it would be much appreciated because to be honest I never even use the DCC.

Thanks!

When i bought mine it had standard shocks on it and the light was unplugged on the button, passed an mot no problem.
I have now changed to kw dcc shocks to get it all back to how it should be
