So on June 8 2020 I replaced my callipers with new units along with 312mm Pagid discs and pads both from ECP. Everything on my from set up was new including the wishbone, ball joint, drop links and shocks.
After 1000 miles of careful bedding in and just over six weeks; I noticed vibration after the brakes had warmed up. Not massive but it was not normal or expected.
I stripped the brakes down and noticed the offside inner edge on the disc had some heavy scoring on the outer edge. The corresponding pad also had bad decomposition and heavy scoring. I was very meticulous on assembling the brakes using non metallic textar grease on the bridge of the pads and only a tiny amount on the back of the pads to avoid heat transfer as per VW guidance.
ECP originally tried to say I had fitted the discs incorrectly. I described how I had fitted them and asked which part was incorrect. They could not say. I reported I had read numerous reports of poor quality Pagid Discs but must add, I have been using them for years on Merc E280, BMW 5 series, 4 Series without issue.
They agreed to give a full refund. I then replaced them with Bosch discs and Brembo road pads. What I can say is on fitting the original Pagid pads they were a tight fit. Maybe they were poor quality and excess drag caused them to over heat and decompose.

Re: Pagid Discs and Pads from ECP
I recently noticed a nice big ridge on my discs. Replaced them last year, haven't noticed any loss of performance or noise. Just a ridge in the disc and pad. Friend thinks maybe a hard spot, won't be buying Pagid again.
