Well...
All seemed fine, until I recieved a call from AKS saying that the engine take off plate for the oil cooler doesnt fit, nice one HEL Performance you shit cunts!!
AKS contacted them and a revised part should have been sent for today to be fitted. HEL did not post it. AAAAHHH bastards!!! So now wait and spend more money as I have no more time off for this currently.
More to follow.

Re: SICROCCO
The Oil cooler was successfully fitted and completed 2 weels ago by AKS Tuning. They are very very good at what they do and if you can get to them I would highly recommend going to them!!
The engine oil temps are indeed lower than before (once the thermostat has opened at working temp around 90°C)
I dont really have any pictures as it is a very stealthy install to be honest, I will try at somepoint to get some pics!

Re: SICROCCO
Also, I ordered some wheels and tyres for track use a few weeks ago which arrived today.
So I test fitted them of course
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's 18" ET35 5x112 gloss black.
Tyres are Nankang Sportnex NS-2R 225/40/18 with a competition compound of 100.
I got them from Demon Tweeks, the tyres are not listed on their website so you have to ask for that compound specificly.
I have not driven on them yet but I am planning on doing a track day hosted by LVS Racing at the end of June.
Tapatalk will not let me post pictures currently for some reason but you can google the wheels easily

Re: SICROCCO
Nice 1. Glad you got the Cooler working.
Make sure you test fit the tyres and take it for a blast to make sure no rubbing etc.

This isnt a step by step guide but a few pictures for anyone interested in this! What a bit of graft this was! Luckily I have a few well equipped and knowledgable friends to help out

I know your thread is old, but i will try to ask you a question.
Have you installed the Sachs performance kit 550+ Nm, with original VW DMF (dual mass flywheel) ?
If yes, is good also for stage3 power?

Re: SICROCCO
I installed a brand new Sachs DMF but I imagine it is the same as an OEM DMF from VW. The clutch is still working good at stage 3 power after over 3 years of being at stage 3.Alien_IROC wrote:Psycho Kirky wrote:Finally got the Sachs Performance clutch kit and DMF fitted on saturday along with a Revo intake pipe and a Forge Recirculation/Diverter valve installed too!

Re: SICROCCO
Thanks very much for answer! So the Sachs DMF work good also in stage3, really happy to hear that. How many HP do you have?
The kit you bought its like this in the picture?
Because I am undecided whether to buy this kit with DMF, or the motorsport kit with OMF (one mass flywheel)
i'm worried about vibrations and every day use comfort....
Also i see that you probably use the car in trackdays, so you can recommend that setup also for track?

Re: SICROCCO
I cannot remember fully as it was 4 years ago that I installed the clutch and DMF. I used a new OEM VW clutch slave cylinder (CSC) but the Sachs should be good also. The parts do look very similar. I bought the clutch from Sachs directly, the CSC from VW directly and the DMF from Euro Car Parts (in UK). The prices are slightly different from what I remember.Alien_IROC wrote:Thanks very much for answer! So the Sachs DMF work good also in stage3, really happy to hear that. How many HP do you have?

I cannot comment on Single Mass Flywheel as I have no experience with one.
I use the car as my daily drive, but also a couple track days so far and it performs great like on the road. (Remember to use a brake/clutch fluid that can withstand higher temperatures like DOT 5.1 or racing fluid.

Re: SICROCCO
You are the first i hear that have the original DMF with also a stage3 and without problems, in other forum, like golfmk6.com, some people have your setup and after some months they have vibrations and noise in neutrual gear.

Re: SICROCCO
I do have vibrations, but that is because of stiffer bushes and engine/transmission mounts. Hard to say if the clutch and DMF have added any vibrations.Alien_IROC wrote:You are the first i hear that have the original DMF with also a stage3 and without problems, in other forum, like golfmk6.com, some people have your setup and after some months they have vibrations and noise in neutrual gear.
