Has needle sweep ever been standard?

Post by Billc »

The 2015 R-Line I've just bought has the needle sweep on start and I wondered if it's ever been standard on any models?

If not then I'll know that during it's history the system has been modified which would make me wonder what else has been changed. It's a Das Welt with a one dealer history so no great concern there but if, for example, it's been remapped then my insurance would be invalid.

Need sweep is standard on the "R" models, not sure about the "R-Line" models.

Apologues. Should have been more specific or quoted your post. I meant my 2012 R-line not the R

Thanks for all the replies peeps and it seems it was indeed introduced at some unknown point. There are no signs of any other mods to my car so I think I'm going to leave it and just get them to check for any alterations when it's in for service.

Thanks for the help.
