Good tip!! Thanks. I let the car down already with loose bolts at the moment, so hope that does the trick

Re: Brake change
It did do the trip bob, thanks a lot for that.
Got everything off except the disc as usual I've left it on axle stands as the weather is horrendous. There wasn't much room for the gear puller cos of the shield behind the disc, but my mate at work said it's ok just to bend it back a bit for access.
Unfortunately, I did my first bit of damage I punctured the hub screw cap cover... well, I think it's just a cover, and non-structural. Am I right? (See picture)... gutted, as I thought I'd get away without doing damage

Yes, it's non-structural. You can pick up a new one from dealer or TPS, part no. 1J0501249C

That's so much bob (again!). I'll get another. How does it come off? Do you know?

Re: Brake change
Normally you slip a flat blade screwdriver in the small gap and prise it off but as you've got a nice big hole there just pull it off. It's only a dust cover that clips on.dimexi wrote:That's so much bob (again!). I'll get another. How does it come off? Do you know?

As per the process? Or how they feel?Paradox1 wrote:Well done mate.

Brakes feel great, no squeaks or abnormal noises.
As per the process, hardest bit was getting my discs off the hub, as they were stuck on. Gear pullers were a God send for that. Also, I found winding the rear calipers all the way back was really needed. I just wound them back as far back as they needed to go to fit over the pads.
I used brembo discs and pads.
