BOOT OPENING SWITCH

Post by ROODY »

Hi All
just fitted some VW projector puddle lights to the bottom of her indoors , doors. Had VAD COM done and added 64 to the codes , now the boot / trunk release button don't work ,everything else is fine . Anyone had the same happen when fitted these . Or is a trade off between the two , boot /trunk still opens from the key fob. Any advice welcome .
Thanks

Think you have made a mistake in the coding and coded out the button.

Hi, I also recently installed some VW Logo puddle lights to the underside of my door card. Got them coded with VCDS and added 64 to both Drivers and Passenger Door electrics. My boot still opens fine and there are no warning lights. So can definitely have both. Do you know what the original code was? Maybe revert back to that and see if it fixes the issue.

Hi Ya thanks for that , mine is exactly the same as in boot switch and once down on the window switches don't work I have the original codes so will revert them back and try to add the 64 again to each. If that doesn't work then will go to local VW dealer to re-enter the coding. At least from other replies you can have the puddle lights and all other functions working together as they should.

Thanks All

Hi ALL
Now got all the boot switch , window once down and the wing mirror indicators plus the VW projector puddle lights all working together and must say thanks to the forum as thought to start was a trade off.
