Re: UKtom's Candy White OEM+
Leds make a huge difference, easy to do but big difference
Re: UKtom's Candy White OEM+
Haven't updated here for a while! The rocco's undergoing a butt transplant very shortly, R exhaust waiting to go on - just waiting on my R diffuser to arrive...
I was also approached by Bear Car Care to try out some new products, they sent me a care package which I managed to try out on Friday - pretty impressed to be fair! If you fancy trying some for yourself, go check some of their products out here: http://www.bearcarcare.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
...and I met up with easyrider yesterday, obligatory pic:
The car also went in to VW for an air con regas yesterday morning, turns out I need a new air con condenser. VW quoted me circa £830 to which I politely declined so I'm currently debating whether to fix it or air con delete. Whilst I was at VW I also ordered some new parts to help aid with the winter plans - all will be revealed soon!
Will post some pics up once the diffuser arrives and exhaust is on...

Re: Tom's Bagged Scirocco TDiR : OEM+
deleting the air con would be retarded.
New condensor is £80 from ECP and 2-3 hours labour and a regas
Easy to do for under £300. i know this as i've done 3 of them.
Also you can't just delete the air conditioning . i've not had air con and it's an arse. you need shorter auxillary belts and getting the right one is a pain in the arse.

Very nice and looks awesome [emoji106]
Could you share the link from where you get it?
I wanna install my exhaust too and I don't want to change the whole rear pumper.

Regarding Bluetooth:Tom wrote:Thanks pal! I only used halfords paint and primer, nothing special. However it had started to bubble from the heat and hot weather we had a couple of weeks ago - I have dropped them off at my local bodyshop to be sprayed professionally and I'm hoping to pick them up this weekIndrid wrote:Car looks nuts
Which paint and primer did you use? trying to do my door trims,
Cheers
Small update - lots of plans!
I took a trip round the M25 yesterday - first stop was at PhilJay's house to pick up and fit a bluetooth module, then off to see quietresonance to get it vagcommed in. Took a couple of pics, a definite worthwhile upgrade I should have done sooner!
I've just ordered some LED door puddle lights which should be here soon, plus looking at a few other interior mods to do over winter. Meanwhile, the winter prep is going well - I'm trying to keep it a secret for now until its all done and fitted, some of the parts have already arrived but there will be some big changes planned for winter ready for 2017 show season - I am too excited!
Hope you like
Tom
I'm new to this forum and have recently bought a 2010 VW Scirocco 2.0 TSI. I believe it has the RCD510 head unit installed as well as a factory hands free kit. I own an LG G4 smartphone. It will connect to my car, however; many other phones will not connect (iPhones etc). In addition, when my phone is connected, the car 'borrows' my phones signal over Remote SIM Access Profile (rSAP). This means, I cannot use my phone as a Sat-Nav, as its signal has been taken by the car. Finally, I can't seem to play music through my car speakers via Bluetooth.
I've done a bit of research. From my understanding, I've got an old Nokia Bluetooth module installed. That wont connect to newer phones, or phones that don't support rSAP. I've also heard that newer Bluetooth modules can also create a WiFi hotspot through my phone (This would solve the signal issue).
Is there a way to fit a new module, so I can pair various phones, play music through Bluetooth and use the car as a WiFi hotspot?
I would really appreciate all the help I can get! What Bluetooth Module did you go for?
Re: UKtom's Candy White OEM+
Hey dude, sorry for my late reply! The advert has actually been removed since, but heres a link to the seller of who I bought it from: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/funtuning-017624448854 - i'm sure if you send him a message he will be able to sort you out.Mostic wrote:Very nice and looks awesome [emoji106]

It was recommended to me by jimijokela and it does the job perfectly.
Hey dude, i'm sorry but I have no idea regarding your current module - it could possibly be linked to a software update required for the RCD510 but i'd be guessing. It's easy enough to fit a new module, especially if you have bluetooth already installed as there will be no need for coding etc - all you need to do is remove the headunit and it's literally plug and play in the back. The only complication may be if you need to change the microphone as it will be dependant on where this is wired into - usually it is wired along the dash, up the pillar and across the headlining to the centre console/sunglasses holder on the roof.MBUK1000 wrote:Regarding Bluetooth:

I'm unsure on the exact model of the module I went for too (sorry!) but if Phil ever reads this, he may be able to help (as it was his old one!).
Update
So for those of you on the Scirocco Mk3 Owners Page on Facebook, and those who follow me on Instagram may have seen a sneak peak of the winter plans i have prepared for 2017 show season...
It's taken me a couple of months to source all of the parts required from different sellers and from the main dealers, but i think i'm finally there! (We'll find out when we come to fit it!!). Here's a sneak peak - a full 2016 Scirocco R Facelift conversion...
Plenty more parts and updates to follow, hope you guys like!

Woooow the old R bumper is looking great, the new one is even better! So excited about this topic, can you tell me please where did you manage to buy that Facelift bumper from?
Re: Tom's Bagged Scirocco TDiR : OEM+
Thanks man! I managed to find the bumper on eBay but the seller hasn't got anymore listed at the moment unfortunately!LeoMarion wrote:Woooow the old R bumper is looking great, the new one is even better! A little unplanned update. I was approached by someone who loved the Motorsport alloys and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He offered me his rotiform tmb's with almost new tyres plus cash my way - I would've been silly to say no.
So, here it is:
They are only winter wheels until next year, but I'm pretty happy with them!

A couple more pics of the TMB's. They've really grown on me!
On a plus note, I've got a few custom carbon bits coming soon ready for 2017. Hopefully they'll be here by the end of the month! Will upload pics when they arrive, can't wait

Headlights are MTec bulbs from eBay guys - i've had them in for over a year, they used to be "ice blue" but are definitely a lot whiter now!
