Take a look at my thread in the 'lights' section for the DRL's.

Hope you get them sorted [emoji106]

How is the pinstripe holding up? I don't know whether to put mine on or not.. Red on a black car.

I've already sent them back haha, the seller said that's how they're ment to be so I got my money back. I ordered a different set so here's hoping they're fine.

The pinstripe is still going strong but it's not really been on for that long tbh. I think the red would look good bud[emoji106]

To be honest I don't think mine are that bright, I need to check VCDS to see if power is still on 10 since I last tried fixing them

Car looks smart. Really like the pin stripe on the front grill.

Cheers mate, I think it'll be going within the next couple of days. I've got a grill that's already colour coded on the way :)

There's not been much progress in the past few months, between working away and saving for a house there's been no time to do anything... but I finally got my grill fitted today :)

so there's been literally zero progress since the last post apart from some more pin stripe tape which I've not taken pictures of and a sticker on the rear window saying "emission cheats enabled".

All my time and money has been going into the house but... it's finally finished... for now anyway[FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

anyhoo, I went to the Scottish meet last Saturday and I was the only one with a standard height scirocco. I didn't realise how much of a difference a set of lowering springs makes so I've bought a set which should be fitted on Saturday[THUMBS UP SIGN]

so the car went in for its service today and came back with bad news. Both front shock absorbers are leaking apparently.

Vw are wanting 592 to supply and fit 2 shocks. they said there unsure whether or not the springs will affect the warranty, ive been told to take it to another vw because this one cannot carry out warrenty work. So ill be taking a trip to another VW tomorrow i think.

i also spoke to the garage that fitted them and took it back to them to check, they are adamant the the shocks are fine and its just the dealers trying to get work.

now ive got a predicament, is it the dealers trying to get work or was it the garage that have made a mess of it and are trying to play it off :|

Take it to the other VW garage but don't say anything. Ask for a free health check and they'll completely check the car over. If they come back with the same thing, then you know who was telling the truth.

I think it's less likely that VW are "trying to get work" and more likely the independant garage won't accept liability.

I would take it to another independent, as the first VW franchise may have updated the dealer network info about your visit and their findings.

Which Drls have you got on your car now? Are they lasting?

Nice car by the way like the subtle mods.

Im going to do that just need some time to do it. I was thinking the same thing about the network being updated.

i jacked it up a few days after the service to have a look and all seems fine around the shock, i cant find any leaks or traces of leaks but i might be wrong

They're from china, I got them from ebay for 80 about a year ago but cant seem to find them again.

They were fitted in august and they lasted fine until 2 or 3 months ago, the drivers side has had 3 leds out of the 6 die. Im pretty sure theres a thread on here somewhere about them.

Cheers buddy, it makes it stick out a bit more than all the other white sciroccos you usually see
