James' Stealth Rocco
James' Stealth Rocco
Wasn't sure whether to do a build thread but I've done a little bit to my rocco so thought i'd give it ago..... so here is my 2010 black scirocco 170 tdi dsg when I picked it up it had only done 26,000 miles
So once i got it home and had nice weather it got a good clean
Next thing I did was plastidip the badges matte black and put my personal plates on german style.

Re: James' black Scirocco
next to be done was what was going to be last which was a set of wheels
Hated the look of how high it sat so H&R lowering springs were bought
Much better
Quick clean came next
I then put spacers on 12mm at the front and 15mm at the rear

Side view to show the height a bit better
I then gave it a full clean ready for a local show
Then a few from the show
My favourite picture from it

Re: James' black Scirocco
Next up was 15mm spacers all round
gave it a nice stance needs to be lower still though, I have changed the badges as the plastidip ones were ruined from polish so ordered carbon ones and put them on will put a picture up as soon as I get one.
Decided to buy some paddle extenders
Before
After
For now thats it done in the pipeline are coilovers, splitter and to fit the de-wiper kit I've got.
thanks for looking comments always appreciated

Cool. Do you live in Derby? Wouldn't mind picking your brains about your H&R springs. Where did you get them from and where did you get them fitted?JamesE wrote:Cheers and your spot on yes it was bought from parkway derbyC00PS wrote:Looks good mate. No I don't I live in Newcastle so only 30 mins away. As for the H&R springs I got them from PSI Tuning and had then fitted at a local garage that my mums fella owns. There is no difference in ride quality between them and stock.C00PS wrote:Cool. Do you live in Derby? Wouldn't mind picking your brains about your H&R springs. Re: James' black Scirocco
Not really updated this at all, so since my last post some builder decided to not strap his ladders down correctly and this happened,
the ladders were that jammed under that the recovery guy had to winch them out leaving this
When it got dropped off at the garage I chose the damaged was assessed.
So I needed: Intercooler, radiator, new bumper and all the plastic trim to go with it, boost pipe as it had a hole in it, and the wheel arches for both sides.
Police did nothing and I didn't want to go through my insurance 'cause I knew it would cost more in the long run in renewals.

Re: James' black Scirocco
After 2 weeks I got the car back all fixed since getting it back I've removed the rear wiper put it on coilovers and had the rear lights tinted.
coilovers fitted
Gave it a good clean
Wiper removed
And last thing to be done rear lights tint
Next up is to have all the plastic trim sprayed black to blend it with the rest of the car, front splitter and to lightly tint the front lights. Also I'm after these wheels as well.

I've been that guy that had the ladders fly off a vehicle.
Had them strapped to the roof bars of a navara, one bar snapped which ripped off the other one and sent the zarges flying. Luckily no-one was injured and no vehicles (apart from the navara) damaged.

I've got quite a few in mind. Looking forward to FittedUK, do you go any local meets? What coilovers did you fit? I'm hoping to get a cat back system next month
