Bluetooth Issue

Post by C00PS »

Recently when i make a call or answer a call the person on the other end can't hear me but i can hear them.

This issue started a few months ago but before that everything was ok.

I can play music through my phone no problem.

My phone is a Samsung S6 Edge.

Can anybody shed any light on this issue? Could it be the mic? Or a phone update that has stopped it working?

Thoughts please?

Would think it's highly unlikely to be a mic probably with the car unless you've had work done in that area of the car.

More than likely an issue with the phone as I am sure I heard that the S6 had random Bluetooth issues. I am on iPhone myself but only thing I could suggest is delete the Bluetooth connections completely and pair phone to car again. Other thing would be to clear the cache in the Bluetooth application on the phone found via one of the menus on the phone if you haven't tried either already.

Come to think of it, I was in the works van on Friday and all of a sudden my phone disconnected from the vans bluetooth and wouldn't reconnect.

Might search Google a bit more deeper and see what I can find. Might even contact Samsung.

Yeah must be the phone playing up in that case then.

Definitely recommend clearing the Bluetooth application cache on the phone as that should clear up any glitches should be something like go to Settings then Application Manager then swipe the screen left or right for All Applications then Bluetooth then Clear Cache then Clear Data. Reboot phone and that should be you.

Must be something related to the car now if it's the same on 2 separate phones.
Is it a factory fitted Bluetooth module and radio in the car?

Check there isn't a "mute" option somewhere that's become active as a default.

Yes factory fitted RNS510.

Might try unplugging it and plugging it back in?

So tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and still the same issue.

Out of interest, when the module under my seat was unplugged, the phone still worked through my car. Is this correct? What does the module actually do?

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!
