Cruise Control Fitted Northants Area

Post by Stazman »

Hi, newbie here, I guess I qualify as I've just bought a 2010 Candy White 2.0 TSi Scirocco.

I know reading on here you can get cruise control retro fitted, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a decent place to have this done in the Northants area? I live near Kettering (NN14).

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks guys.

It is not a difficult job to DIY. The main issue is getting the correct parts for your car year. New parts cost about £150. To get fitted you are looking at £380 - £400. You will see £150+Vat advertised in some places but that is only for early 2009 cars. Yours needs both steering column stalks replaced as they are a single unit unlike early models. Some firms will travel to you to fit - takes about 2 hours. Cant help with local firms though.

Thanks for the info, so I'd be looking at £150+£400 to have it fitted? Quite expensive, I'm not sure I'd like to do the job myself though.

Two places worth trying:

DG Motor Services in Wellingborough. They are ex-dealer VW/Audi specialists. I've not used them myself but maybe worth a ring:

Richter Sport in Milton Keynes. I used them to fit Fiscon Bluetooth to my 2010 and they were outstanding. They used to offer a forum discount, no idea if they still do? They do a lot of genuine parts retrofitting.

there is a place on ebay that offer the parts required for £220 for the later models.

When i looked into it i was quoted just over £400 to have them supplied and installed.
