Rear Brake Pad Type

Post by Shakeystevo »

Morning,

In the process of buying some new rear discs and pads (hopefully get rid of this bloody sequel!).

I have noticed two types of pads for the rear... one with what looks like clips and one that resembles the front type...

Links here to the different types:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volks ... fb3&000036

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volks ... 3e8&000036

Which is the ones I would need for a 2.0 TSI (200)? 255mm discs...

Are they both the same? just different fixings?

Many thanks in advance!

It is the second one (with the "clips"/spring) - 87x53x17mm. I have the 255mm discs too.

Sh@t - I ordered the others :(

Watched a video of mk5 golf and it showed the first type. Thought it was same setup...

Certain the others won't fit?

Thanks tommy. I ordered them from MTEC not euro... Just used their links lol

I've rang them and managed to get them swapped out.

Thanks for your help - much appreciated.
