Finally my new Scirocco
Well I had to drive nearly 60 miles to the dealers, then after around 10 mins of driving home the heavens opened Even hail at one point! Typical, it's now filthly
But anyway, I'm over the moon with it... it's just as good as I remember although the driving position is a bit different and not perfect, but still good.
Here is the car upon collection... Couple more when I got home so now dirty ...

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
...
This is an example of how dirty it is
Then coming down stairs this evening, I couldn't believe how good it looked
Gonna go out later for a drive at night, but I had a few stabs on the Throttle and a smile appeared on my face everytime - I'm loving it You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Congratulations on your new toy!!! Lookin' good. I tried a few stabs on the throttle on my way home too, such a great pull even without revving it
I've managed to keep the revs below 4000 and have just turned 1000 miles, so I reckon I'll be letting rip up to the redline soon!
Enjoy....

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Let us know how you find it! It pains me to put more miles on the clock, it still has less than 100 but after Reading your post it gives me reason to get up to 1000 milespolts23 wrote:Congratulations on your new toy!!! Re: Finally my new Scirocco
I've just passed 200 miles and I'll be winding it up this weekend. I don't think I'll be getting up to the red line but I'll certainly be over 5000rpm a few times in a cross country run to my parents. Lots of overtaking places. I'm not going to pass up the chance to see what it can do in sport suspension and full on paddle shift attack mode

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Couldn't resist, I gave it the gun a few times on the way home from work this morning Nuff said
Around 5000 rpm it gives you some seriously good noise and pull, can't wait until the engine loosens up a bit too, it will be even more awesome! I'll have to carry out some more investigations on the characteristics of the car over 5000 rpm, just for research purposes of course...

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Kev - what was on the clock when you picked it up? My last car had 85 miles on it when I picked it up, admittedly I knew they drove it from Southampton to Poole but it had done a few more miles "for a brand new car", than I was expecting.Kev wrote:I've just passed 200 miles and I'll be winding it up this weekend.
