It was all wired and connected with the guide Giannis had kindly forwarded previously to me earlier on this particular topic.
As i explained earlier a second camera was sent out just eliminate that as being the fault and still no success. Vw have said they will give me one hour free labour, to determine if they can repair / or find where fault lies.
Thank's to all for their thoughts on the subject ( Appreciated )

Vw not too sure why the camera isn't working all codes have been checked ect, Said something about needing an ECU ? sure that's what they called it also the head could be faulty (although it works perfectly in every other way except reading the camera !)
They are going to speak to their technical people and ask advice, Worst of all when i went to collect the car someone has dented my drivers door.
VW to their credit said they would repair free,

The Toureg (?) has a Camera that needs a dedicated control box - That might be what they talk about. But that is NOT used on the Scirocco.

Does the RNS 510 switch to the picture/screen with an outline of the car on the left side, when the car is on and You put the gear in reverse?

Initially when you engage reverse the picture on the satnav changes briefly but only for a second, you can't make out anything though as its rather fuzzy.
It's got everyone scratching their heads

I am not sure if You are seeing what I described in my question...

If You do, then there is only left:
Change camera (You did that as I understand)
Double check and re-seat all video cable connections.
Wipe the vaseline off the camera ;-)
