Bye bye Scirocco
Well the day has come. I'm trading in my rocco for a new car this afternoon. Overall I've enjoyed my 18 months with the car - apart from 1 or 2 minor niggles - but due to a change of family/domestic circumstances I now need something a bit more practical. My new car is a 9 month old Golf GTD 5 door ...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Anyway back to the thread. I spent 10 minutes trying to get into mine this morning thanks to ...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Not today but yesterday. Got my car back from the bodyshop (a car ran into the side of me at a roundabout ). They've done a very good job of the repair but somehow the car feels 'different'. Might be a good excuse to get a new car

Re: Why Don't Service Departments Listen?
In general the local VW dealer that I use - Verve - are pretty good however there have been a couple of times over the years when the service department haven't done things that I asked them to do. Also I never get them to wash the car

Where are all the rocs?
Where are all the rocs? I am asking this because this weekend I've done a return journey from Glasgow to Manchester via the M74 & M6. On the way down on Friday afternoon I saw 3 rocs - 2 candy white and 1 black. On the return journey yesterday I saw 1 solitary RB roc. This says to me that the ro...

Re: Renewal Insurance RANT!!!!
I just got my insurance renewal in from Directline. Its gone up by over £120 to £608 :eyepop: They are having a laugh. I'm 42, maximum NCB, the car is garaged every night and I have my wife as a named driver on the policy. I honestly don't know how they can justify such a large increase. Needless to...

Re: trouble foaming the car
I bought myself one of these babies (PA Foam lance from Polished Bliss) and used with my Karcher and Megs Hyper wash produces superb results. Looks as though it's been snowing in the road when i use it, all the neighbours think i'm nuts. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pa-foam-lance-cat2.ht...

Re: Replacement wipers
I've always found that with the rocco and the Golfs I had previously that you can't go far wrong with the genuine VW wiper blades. Not that cheap but they are up to the job. IIRC I think they are made by either Bosch or Valeo

Changing headlamp bulbs
Morning all,
I've purchased some Osram Nightbreaker bulbs for a good price from a pal of mine in the motor trade
Is it a relatively simple task to change the bulbs?
Thanks
