Re: Coolant Temp Switch Location
Thanks I had that diagram up on my phone whilst looking and still couldn't make it out. Is it only accessible from underneath the vehicle? Hoping someone can post a pic too.

Re: Anyone used either of these companies to retro-fit Sat N
No but Citygate VW used SatNav Systems to retro fit my cruise control.
No issues there at all. They seemed like quite a sleek professional bunch to me.

Mine also does this.
I had it last year during the Winter months and it has returned again this year during the Winter months.
When I took it to the dealer last year to have a look at it, the noise disappeared and they never heard it, so nothing was diagnosed.

Re: Retro Fit Folding Door Mirrors
So would I need to install VCDS to a laptop and purchase the necessary cable? How much is the software and where would the cable plug into on the vehicle?
I’m really demonstrating my ignorance now.

Re: Retro Fit Folding Door Mirrors
Hi Shaun, I did view your guide before I posted on this forum. I must admit I am tempted to follow suit, but I’m pretty useless when it comes to modding and I don’t trust myself, especially with modding a £25k car. When you order the mirrors do they come in a set colour or do they do them in various...

Retro Fit Folding Door Mirrors
Hi Guys, After owning the Roc for 1 year now, I am feeling the urge to have electric folding door mirrors fitted. I think it is fair to say that the Roc is a wide vehicle and there have been numerous situations that I have been in where I have thought ‘wouldn’t it be useful to have folding mirrors r...

Re: 2010 Cruise Control
Hi guys, I have a 2010 60 plate Scirocco. After waiting 1 year for Cruise Control to be retro-fitted, I rang up my dealership, who said that VW are still unable to retro fit CC. I gave them a hard time and they sent around a 3rd party company to retro fit it for me yesterday. The company: http://www...

Cancelling VW PCP
Does anybody know how is easy it is to cancel a PCP?! I am almost 12 months in to a 3 year PCP on a new Scirocco! I love the car, but no longer feel comfortable with how much it is costing me! I have been thinking about canceling it for awhile, but was wandering if anyone knew what financial penalti...

I'm from Booker in High Wycombe and work just off London Road. Drive a black GT. I like the idea of starting a High Wycombe Roc club lol!
And Cornelce, the answer to your question is no. Plus their Customer Service is s**t!

Re: car, ipods & the cold
I'm glad you posted this. Very interesting that someone else has the same problem as me. I have noticed that since the weather has started warming up, I have not had this issue. What I find odd is that it never used to happen in my old car (Winter or Summer) when the iPod was left in the glove box a...

Yep. My GT is a DSG, it has leather seats, Sat Nav, 19 " upgrades, Bluetooth, Cruise Control (awaiting fitment).
I got a £5K discount because of the fuss I kicked up.
Plus don't forgot VAT has gone up since then.

I disagree.Chungster wrote:And it's defo worth the extra ££££s over a GT.
They have the R up for sale at £36K. I paid £25K for my GT.
11K more.

So nearly had this R!
I ordered an R last June, but got bored of waiting, so cancelled my order and went for a GT instead in October. I was passing by the dealership on Sunday and decided to pop in. To my absolute suprise, there it was. They had still built the R I ordered and taken delivery of it. It was sitting there i...

Re: Which Tyre?
Thanks for the reply Actus Reus.
I have actually spoken to Pirelli about this.
They have advised me that the Scirocco (at that wheel spec) actually uses the same tyre as the Ferrari (K1).
