Re: Service Intervals
Thanks Martdy, so I don't actually have to anything to "choose" which option I am going for? Is it always long life with VAG cars now? I'm no expert on this (so please correct me if I'm wrong) but from what I gathered when I bought mine you can choose for fixed time/miles (1yr/10K) or the...

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Couldn't resist, I gave it the gun a few times on the way home from work this morning       Nuff said :hyper: Around 5000 rpm it gives you some seriously good noise and pull, can't wait until the engine loosens up a bit too, it will be even more awesome! I'l...

Re: Finally my new Scirocco
Congratulations on your new toy!!! Lookin' good. I tried a few stabs on the throttle on my way home too, such a great pull even without revving it
I've managed to keep the revs below 4000 and have just turned 1000 miles, so I reckon I'll be letting rip up to the redline soon!
Enjoy....

Congratulations!! You'll soon be developing strategies for dealing with folk standing around your car at the supermarket, petrol station etc. The attention it attracts is truly amazing, I'm still not used to it. Enjoy

A brave combination of choices that has totally paid off - it looks gorgeous mate! Now you just need to set aside a day for the obligatory wash, polish, wax etc. Another 'chore' that you'll love doing! Very nice indeed

Re: Convenience Menu - Mirror Down
Mine has the mirror down function - disabled it in the menu though as it makes parking on my drive more difficult - very good for normal parking spaces though. I need mine in the normal position to get on my drive too, but no need to disable, just have the switch in any position except 'L' and the ...

True, but believe me, the prize is worth waiting for, you will not even remember the wait once you've driven it The first few weeks were the worst for me, seemed like forever, but it soon zips by. Congratulations on your order!

Ryan, it's just the way the light caught it, thankfully! Just watched the vid, the road looks very similar (very well spotted that man), but I think that one in the vid is more towards Brecon, very similar terrain, brilliant roads around there. The one in my shot is only a few miles long, no cafe etc.

The 400D is a fine camera. SLR gives you amazing flexibility and control over the shot - just get stuck in! Andy, the road is on the moors between Llangynidr and Ebbw Vale, not a bad road to drive either! It's next to the A465 Heads of the Valleys road, it's not a million miles from Aberdare (16 mil...

Re: I mostly leave my ACC in ..
Hmmm, the throttle certainly 'seems' more responsive in Sport mode :? I use whichever mode best suits the type of journey I'm doing, if it's the boring motorway commute to work then it's Comfort and cruise, if it's about town then Normal, and if it's A & B roads then it's Sport all the way baby....

Re: Convenience Menu - Mirror Down
by easybreeze » Sun Mar 08, 2009 9:49 pm So it's now part of the Folding Mirrors? :grumpy: Perhaps, maybe somebody without folding mirrors who's had a recent build could confirm? I think if you look back to the start of this thread then folk thought it was a combo of options xenons, mirrors, etc et...

Re: Convenience Menu - Mirror Down
think it must be a combo of folding mirrors and build date. Mine has the folding option and was built wk 7. Mirror down works, but only when the mirror adjustment knob is on L, otherwise it doesn't drop. Quite useful as sometimes you don't want it to. Neat feature to help avoid alloy scrapes.
