Re: Sciroccor 2015 280ps K04 turbo cartridge loose HELP!!!
What country are you in? It will more than likely be cheaper to have the turbo rebuilt than to replace the entire unit. But use a specialist who can actually balance it properly. Strange it's gone so early on though, does the car get hammered from cold/not given time to cool down before being turned...

Re: Laura's Rising Blue Rocco
The next thing I wanted to do was to pain the brake callipers. I initially couldn't decide between red or blue behind the black wheels. So took a look at some pictures from online. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170728/75735d4db95561103c32268aa629b763.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201707...

Re: Do remaps really improve the MPG
Unless 'tuning boxes' have came on a LOT in the last 5 years I wouldn't expect anything advanced enough to realistically improve MPG. An actual remap could well improve MPG at non WOT. A tuning box generally just fools your engine into running more boost and lobbing in more fuel, regardless of what ...

Re: 45F2 ABS/ESC safety recall
Took my Scirocco 2008 GT TSI Tues for this recall. Only had it 2 months and no history of abs fault or repairs in the paperwork. Was running well. Anyway, Told all was ok when collected. Didnt even get out of car park - EML and ABS warning came on. They said initially it was possibly as mechanic ha...

Those or Eibach Sportines/Pro Kit, the OEM ones offer a tiny drop.
eBay.de is your best place to look, the prices are generally a lot better than UK vendors even after getting them sent over the pond

Re: VW Eibach Springs
VWR (Volkswagen Racing), despite the name have no affiliation to VW the manufacturer therefore in terms of warranty or insurance they are no different to fitting any other spring. Fitting aftermarket springs won't affect warranty and as with all mods you should advise your insurance company if you ...

The 3 inch exhaust is causing more lag? That doesn't make sense unless it flows worse than the previous exhaust... The larger volume in the exhaust and less restriction causes the turbo to spool up a bit later. At least that's how it was explained to me ;) There's so much conflicting information ou...

Re: Tigger73's Scirocco R
Looks awesome mate. How do you like the DSG tune? DSG tune is good. Improves the drive-ability of the stage 2 car. With the 3" exhaust the turbo does spool up a fraction later and you need to adjust the shift points in D so that instead of running 1,800-2,000rpm in D you're at 2,000-2,200rpm. ...

Re: Manual Vs DSG Question
My Sciroccos DSG my Clios manual, if Im feeling a good involved drive, I take the Clio every time. For the everyday slog the DSG on the 2.0 TSI is great, but it does take the involvement right out of it.
I'd have one for a daily, not for a weekend motor.
