Ah, OK. I'm still running our golf but will possibly have a similar issue in February once the PCP comes up. The cars are very different but you do get used to it. Noise from the 'Roc is far better. There are a couple of members on here "in the same boat" so to speak. Enjoy.

What version of the golf did you have? If it's the 7, it'll feel like a downgrade as the golf is much better...especially in terms of speed and grip. The Roc is still a good car though, the golf 7R is just better.

No, but I have noticed that it only happens when the DSG is not in sport. In sport mode it's fine. There must be a really big flat spot on the power curve but reluctant to put on rollers as its a lease.

Anyone else finding their R jerky / hesitant when pushing it hard? Power delivery is far from linear as it goes through the gears (DSG). Seems all over the place.

I think the 'Roc feels heavier than the Golf. Turbo lag more noticeable in the scirocco (though golf is mapped) and 'roc does sound better. Much deeper exhaust note and authentic sounding compared to golf. I also find the gearbox hunts down sixth gear too quickly with DSG often hitting 6th at 40 mph...

I'm going to wait as the exhaust is already quite loud. It's likely to get louder after a few k miles so I'll wait until then. Seems like a piece of cake to do. Be good to hear your thoughts if you go for it sooner.

Surprising as it seems bigger, maybe more to do with seating position. I need to keep using the 330d for another month but it's going to be tough walking past the scirocco. Anyway, enjoy lads!

I would also recommend for a new car. Used ALA insurance and £150 for 2 years cover.

Cuprabob is quite correct...and leasers care nothing for VED. It's included in lease costs (usually).

I'm £270/month on 2 year with £2.4k down but 15k miles peryear. Without nerltallic and DSG was around £220.

I had problems pressing the wrong button lots on MIB1, it needs an id rive or something similar as the car bounces around (non DCC on 18's) ....dialling the wrong person etc. Hopefully better now in the Roc as could live with the Golf every day.

A contract signed before the VED changes shall remain valid unless stated accordingly. Unless the lease company explicitly explained the VED change in their contract (and you explicitly agreed) their problem. You'll be fine.wasurcar worth >£40k?

Collecting a new car is great but the sales staff often go on in a "this is the indicator...this is the horn.. " kinda way. Had to be quite blunt a couple of times as you don't care about any of that....just want to drive it! "I'm sure I'll figure it out, gimme the keys now!"

I was about 4-5 days from the finance papers to the "your car will be delivered.." call.

Tamworth I think. Not keen on the first 300 miles running in up the M6 ...but it's a dirty leaser. What about you?
