My last 2 cars were both similar outputs but naturally aspirated - an fn2 civic type r (6.9 secs 0-60) and a gt86 (7.5 secs).
Both were 2.0 litres and 200bhp.
I can confirm my 2.0 tsi is a lot quicker and i wouldn't be at all surprised if it clocked in the low 6's!

Re: Bought a 59 plate with 68k miles, change chain tensioner
For those unsure about getting this done, a common telltale sign that this could be an issue is a 2 second rattle on startup. These are tensioned on oil pressure and once the tensioner becomes defective it will start weeping oil past the seal overnight and losing their tension, and the chain will r...

Re: Low RPM Stutter, Carbon Build Up? Solutions?
This is carbon build up 100%
Sorted this myself a month ago and the car drives like new.
Google search 2.0 tsi carbon build up and you'll find plenty of guides and help.
Personally it took me 10 solid hours to do right!

This is the way it works.
Look at it from the garages point of view - if it wasnt for the fact you have placed some kind of deposit down, punters could have them paying for transport all over britain on a whim, many of those punters no even bothering to come back and see the car

Re: Is this a fair price for a 2009 2.0 TSI GT DSG?
Thats a bargain if straight but honestly if it sounds too good to be true then more often than not it is. For your reference, i paid £8300 for mine a month or so ago - 2009, 59k, 2.0 tsi manual box in excellent condition with fsh. It was far and away the best deal in britain for the car at that age ...

Ask 100 different guys and you'll likely get 100 different answers. The truth is 99% of brand name stuff does a great job. The question you have to ask yourself is just how deep down this rabbit hole do you want to/can afford to go? As a side note, the level of snobbery and elitism throughout the de...

I wish i could get as excited as everybody else when it comes to upgrading bulbs, though even i can see the difference those puddle thingies have made!
Top job.

Pumpkin android head units
If theres one flaw my car has its the bog standard head unit. Im looking at these pumpkin android units on amazon for £200 and they seem like fantastic value but was wondering if anyone here had experience of them? Until a fortnight ago i wasn't even aware Halfords did mot's.
They have a well earned reputation as a company for terrible service and insanely inflated prices, the very thought of anyone deciding to take their car there for an mot is insane to me.
