Scirocco Central

Within the Scirocco community it’s widely regarded that the petrol 160PS engine should be avoided at all costs. Some owners have no issues at all but it’s by far the most problematic engine available in the Scirocco. A few owners have had multiple engines replaced on the same car.

I agree R-Tech are the guys I'd recommend.
Even if it's a bit of a drive there you have the bonus of a decent drive home to have a play with the new map

Yeah more often than not the RRPs seem to fluctuate to match the discounts they offer!

False! My experience of the DSG is that it is smooth but wasn't comparing it to the Mercedes auto. I have known jump starting cars to have killed certain electrical items before so it might be corrupted/dead.

Off the top of my head you could try the 3 button reset if you haven't done so already. Or disconnect the battery for a bit and then reconnect and try to boot it and/or update it.

Yeah must be the phone playing up in that case then. Definitely recommend clearing the Bluetooth application cache on the phone as that should clear up any glitches should be something like go to Settings then Application Manager then swipe the screen left or right for All Applications then Bluetoot...

Would think it's highly unlikely to be a mic probably with the car unless you've had work done in that area of the car. Version 8117 is V11 I think. V12 is 8195 and mine is version 8348 which is V13.

Yeah what Blower said. From the pictures looks like moisture under paint causing blistering.
Had it on cars in the past that had been resprayed and hasn't shown until over a year after being resprayed.

If you have a search on eBay you should be able to find a cheaper map update disk. There was the last time I looked but you do run the risk of dodgy copies.
