Re: Brake pad warning - not turning off!

Thanks for that Roy! I haven't got VCDS so will need to take it to someone... garage I spoke to said it wasn't possible to turn off and you just had to simple short the wires on the sensor...

I've tried to bridge the connection but the error is still showing. Tried disconnecting the battery but it still won't clear... Anything else I should be doing? ...

Which model RNS510 is best to retain the DAB function (model E?) 2. Is it right the 315 has built in Bluetooth; if so doe...

Re: Opel Silver Build Thread

Hi.

Mine broke :(

Radio was really bad quality - even after upgrading the wiring etc..

Also had issues with Bluetooth.

Old RCD added and on the hunt for RNS in the coming months...

Re: Opel Silver Build Thread

Afternoon all, Gave the car a much needed wash and detail yesterday and decided to give the engine bay a clean... As a result of a spontaneous buy from Halfrauds; I've added a bit of red bling to the engine bay :) http://i.imgur.com/B1CzOU4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IQ1Qs2t.jpg More to come in the run ...

Re: Annoying niggles

As cleandiesel says, it's just bare wires. Only way to fix is to replace your pads.

Re: Opel Silver Build Thread

Thanks for the interest guys. Looking into Revo map currently but been advised for a custom map by a local tuner who specialises in VW. But means I need to get rest of mods fitted :)

Re: Annoying niggles

In terms of the pads, check the wiring is still intact. There is a wire that is attached to one of the front pads (drivers side I think). When your pads get worn it's what sends the signal to the dash. Mine has become detached (as they are very fragile) and brings up the dash error. VCDS should clea...

I've rang them and managed to get them swapped out.

Certain the others won't fit?

Rear Brake Pad Type

Morning, In the process of buying some new rear discs and pads (hopefully get rid of this bloody sequel!). I have noticed two types of pads for the rear... one with what looks like clips and one that resembles the front type... Links here to the different types: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Vol...
