Re: Where do I stand on returning my scirocco?
I posted a picture of it on a facebook group and the previous owner got in touch and let me know so pretty lucky in that sense! I'm presuming it has been put on coilovers which don't work with the function and to be honest this is a grey area for me as I only found out about this feature after purc...

Re: Where do I stand on returning my scirocco?
How did you find out it’s been remapped? DCC was a factory option. I believe KW sell a coilover that has DCC compatibility. There are probably others too. If it has DCC and aftermarket coilovers that don’t support the DCC function, I wouldn’t worry, but you should have picked this up when you viewed...

Re: people trying to overtake coming out of a 30
What I hate is a car up my arse in a 30! In your situatuon I let them overtake if need be.. no point in speeding up with them along side.. it's not worth it if theres an accident! Plus you will have to stop as a witness which makes you even more delayed! If they're up my backside in the 30 and as it...

Re: Is there going to be a Scirocco replacement?
I wouldn't rule the R out. I think in the real world the difference in fuel costs would be negligible over the durantion of ownership. I have a Golf mk6R and it i average there abouts the same as i did in my RS Clio 172, Fiesta ST, TTS, Mx5 and R32..

Re: Possible sale of my beloved car.
It's not set in stone yet as I'm still undecided on what move to take. But I may soon be selling my car. If I was to sell it. What's the best sites to advertise it on? Only ever sold 1 car as this is my 2nd. This is awful news!!! Considered selling and buying a nice weekender.... possibly an R ? :D...

Re: I've got a bad feeling about this....
I'm tempted to sell my 6R and get a new Rocco R.. but knowing my luck it won't get discontinued and a new model will come out with the mk8 golf.

I'm a fan are these the proper ones that you replace the oem ones with? or the sticky backed ones which tend to fall off?

Re: Thinking of buying a Rocco, which model?
If you're after a diseasel I'd look for the 177! I bought mine (2.0L TDI 177 RLine) around 2 years ago and sold it 8 weeks later. It was an impulse buy but the wrong engine for me! Anyway, there were loads of high spec (leather, pan roof, Bluetooth, cruise, RNS310/510) 177 demo cars back then so th...

Re: Scirocco R - Worth it?
The gfv will be slightly lower than .. the intent is that you have a bit of equity to use as a deposit on your next car. I'd go for the Scirocco R.. 14k is cheap and once you have done the cambelt and water pump it's done for another 5yrs. As for brakes.. if you keep a car for a a few years you will...

Re: Scirocco buying advice
If you're in negative equity you have to pay off the outstanding. Some dealers will add the difference onto the new finance agreement if you wish. Not ideal as it can be more expensive and means your in negative equity for longer with the new car. I wasn't aware you could do that! There you go.. an...

Re: Scirocco buying advice
In regards to settling your finance.. You and the dealer will agree on a px price. The dealer will settle exactly what you owe to the finance company. If you're in negative equity you have to pay off the outstanding. If you're in positive equity, you can chose to use it as a deposit on your next car...

Re: Advice on Sale of beloved Scirocco R
A dealer will usually offer you around £1500-2000 than what they will put it up for. I think that the offer of £12,800 is very good for a trade in / dealer purchase. You could probably get around 14,000 private once you've been haggled..

I think that's acceptable if all gen VW parts are used.
