Re: Bluetooth Hands Free Kit for RCD510
Hello guys, I recently bought a blue 2009 scirocco 2.0 TSI, love it! Please forgive me to open one more thread on the topic of bluetooth / hands free kit, I know this might be answered already but I am quite confused on what to buy and where to buy it from tbh. I have an RCD 510 with apparently no ...

have you had a look on Ross-tech's website to see if you can figure out the issues, using their code glossary?

Re: Free Data Plug - Limited offer from VW
VW don't give anything away for free so I would assume they are collecting all the data with a view to using it in the future. Exactly this!!! I had one given to me after my service and I am yet to plug it in! I will not be after reading this thread, it will serve no use to me. I am happy to do all...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
So there was an absolute racket going on at the rear of my 'roc. Sounded like the exhaust was loose, but I checked and it was fine. Was tempted to jack it up to check, but decided to take it to a garage with a ramp. No appts at VW or Audi, so called the indie close to work. As soon as the wheels cam...

Re: tyre wrench rant
Dont understand how it could be so tight. Im no mr Muscle but ive never met a wheel bolt I couldn't remove with the OEM wrench. You think that bolt is tight, try removing the hub bolt :D Get a breaker bar and put your weight on it Trust me, it CAN be that tight. With the way torque works, you can h...

Re: tyre wrench rant
The likes of kwikfit et al do them up WAYYYYYYY too tight!! The OEM wrench IS capable of undoing them with ease at 120Nm (which is the correct torque).
When I changed my brakes, I almost did my back in trying to loosen the bolts! Had to use a breaker bar

It does keep running sometimes after a long drive and it's heated up. Don't worry too much about it, as bob said, it just runs for a few minutes

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Finally installed new rear brake discs and pads to go with my fronts. Rears were a lot easier than the front - got brembos all round now Of course I punctured the dust cover for the hub screw :shake: Out of interest, why have you got tape on the hub cap? Fixed :p http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Brake change
Well done mate. ANy feedback As per the process? Or how they feel? Brakes feel great, no squeaks or abnormal noises. As per the process, hardest bit was getting my discs off the hub, as they were stuck on. Gear pullers were a God send for that. Also, I found winding the rear calipers all the way ba...

Re: Brake change
It did do the trip bob, thanks a lot for that. Got everything off except the disc as usual  I've left it on axle stands as the weather is horrendous. There wasn't much room for the gear puller cos of the shield behind the disc, but my mate at work said it's ok just to bend it back a bit fo...

Re: Brake change
So, I decided to do the rears today. Loosened wheel bolts, jacked the car up (clear of the ground) removed the wheel bolts and the wheel didn't come off the hub.... tugged and tugged but the wheel wouldn't budge. Is this normal?!?! I mean, I'm ok with stuck discs, but the wheel?!?!

Also, let's know all the details of your unit when you get it. If you can provide all details like the first post, even better. I have some text about versions I saved from vwnavi that could help.

Re: RNS510 Update
Shame about vwnavi, there was a bloke on there called Josi who tweaked a lot of the firmware to work with all units. You tried gps underground?
