Re: Possible sale of my beloved car.

:grumpy: haven't posted for a very long time. But here is an update. Well 2 years and 3 months after I posted this the car is now gone. I held out as long as I could. Just had our 1st baby born 2 weeks ago . And it just wasn't practical anymore. So last week it got part exd for a 2016 vw rline dsg....

Re: On the lookout for an R

That's a very specific requirement on one of the rarer colours. I've found a blinding one on autotrader but it's got DSG, which I think you should consider as DSG is brilliant. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201811032089590?onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearcha...

Re: My Midnight Blue R

Sad to say, the car has now been sold  .

What a car it was too, I've loved every moment of owning it and has been purchased by a fellow car enthusiast.

After 6 years of scirocco ownership, i'm now left with a 2017 Vauxhall Astra estate diesel, fun!

Re: Recaro Seats.. do they auto slide forward?

Looking at your spec, do you want to sell me your KW DCC coil overs ;)? I think from a previous post you're the guy who bought the car with them already installed? Really looking for someone who can give me a comparison between standard and KW.. That's me! Sadly i'm not stripping the car at this mo...

Re: Recaro Seats.. do they auto slide forward?

Unfortunately the flaw of amazing seats.

I found i'd move the seat forward using the normal adjuster and then pull the release lever.

However, I rarely let anyone sit in the back in fear they would scratch the seats!!

Re: Engine cover removal

My cars an older spec but I pull from each corner of the cover u might be able to find the clamps with your hand under the four corners. It is scary to pull off Still. If your still nervous YouTube is the job I believe you have a different cover. The R is bit trickier - not that I have ever taken o...

Re: Scirocco R

There will be non resonated cat backs you can buy as for a resonator delete. The middle resonator is part of the back box system. And therefor the only real way to do a resonator delete without changing the back box is to get a custom exhaust builder to cut the resonator our and weld in a piece of ...

Re: My Midnight Blue R

No leaks what so ever! For daily driving its far more comfortable than the H&Rs, by a long shot. My only gripe is they're a bit too low for daily, but they are coilovers - it's to be expecxted

Re: My Midnight Blue R

I am also very interested to find out your opinion on kw dcc's ;) Tough question as it had the KWs on when I bought it :D . Before this I has a 2.0 TSI GT roc, it was stock when I bought it, but I fitted H&Rs. Instantly improved the feel of the car, not to mention the look.........................

Free Data Plug - Limited offer from VW

We all love free stuff.... Not had mine long so haven't put it to the test yet. If you are interested you can walk in and pick them up for free, plug it in and download the app. Some Dealers say they need to install them, perform health checks and even pay but that's rubbish. http://www.volkswagen.c...
