Re: On & off noise noticeable over 50mph

Yeah, wheel balance would be the first thing to get checked. Not much else is transitional. Worse case is hub bearings or driveshafts but there would be noticeable noise as well.

They could use Wales. All of it :) Already got the tolls on one side of the Severn Bridge after all...

Re: SKY/BBC announce F1 coverage info

Hell, looks like I'll have to sort my VPN Proxy out properly to stream Sky out to Japan. What a PITA. Still, only a few more barren weeks to go!!

Re: Tourist in Birmingham

Get to Coventry for the Car Museum, the Bike Museum at Meriden and plenty of industrial history to be dug out around Brum if you look for it! Other than than I would suggest the M6 home is possibly the it's best feature :) Cannock chase is a good suggestion for the hounds though. I'm assuming that t...

Re: New Hyundai Coupe, Scirocco Beater?

Did the certification on it - it's all right I suppose BUT it is still a Hyundai. It's for those that cannot handle a real Scirroco. All show, and the Koreans still can't make a car that handles anything like properly. Ok for the missus I suppose!

Re: Toyota GT 86

Saw this at Toyota's HQ in Japan - fell in love immediatly. It's quite a lot smaller than it appears, not much bigger than my MR2 Roadster.

Needs the STi turbo engine though, too right. Since I got my TSi nothing less will do!

Re: Auto dipping mirror

It's a photochromatic mirror - basically an LCD coating that darkens when the sensor picks up bright lights. When I worked for Jaguar it was planned to have a panoramic roof with the same technology so the owner could switch from tinted to black glass at the flick of a switch. It was canned due to t...
