Re: orangewheels
I can recommend orangewheels. I bought my Rocc from Laura at VW in Manchester, she is the orangewheels sales rep there. Lovely to deal with and the whole experience was good. I've got her number and email if you want it.

Re: Stone chip
i'll probably get a mobile repairer to look at it eventually. If it wasn't in such an obvious place I probably would not be that bothered.

Stone chip
What do people do to fix stone chips? I have one on my bonnet. I've tried chip ex, which is OK, but i know it is there. Is a chip somehting that can be repaired by a mobile repairer without having to spray it? Will a repair be visible? I'd rather take it to an approved VW repairer, but hate to think...

Re: Scared of your Roc?
I'll just chip in to say I'm another Roc obsessive who parks at the empty end of car parks, and I've been known to refuse people lifts because they have jeans with 'those' buttons on that ruin nice leather interiors :P I'm having to learn that in order to enjoy driving the car, it actually requires...

Re: Scared of your Roc?
I park in two spaces when i go Tesco and also at work. As well as parking far away from the busy areas. Drives the wife mad.
My heart skips when the local kids start playing football. I check the car before I get in it. Especially when it has been to the dealers.

Clear shampoo and wax for CW
I currently use turtle wax shampoo and wax but its coloured. I am looking for a clear combined shampoo and wax. Are there any that anyone would recommend? I don't want the CW going an off white .

DSG BM Brake Pedal Movement
I maybe going bonkers, but I'm sure this has only started in the last week. The break pedal seems to move about 5mm before it meets any resistance. This however does not happen all the time and most of the time it is smooth. There also seems to be a lot of play horizontally. Is this normal or my fir...

Re: fuel mpg average indicator
I have 700 miles on mine and yesterday on the way home from work i was getting 63mpg (A roads). I was going about 50mph for most of it though.

I don't aspire to an "R", if I did I'd have one.

Re: Which diesel? 140 or 170?
I recently bought a BM. The 170 was a little to easy to speed in for me. The BM has enough grunt for me, better mpg and cheaper insurance. I am very happy with my Rocc.

Re: Speech button on steering wheel
I've spoken to VW and the RNS315 does not come with voice control even though its in the manual. They also do not recommend using Vagcom to change it. The RNS 510 does have it.
I think i'll have to bite the bullet and buy Vagcom.

Re: Speech button on steering wheel
I take it you have the little microphone symbol on your radio as a button? On mine where the mic button should be on the RNS screen there is just a blank button. I think mine has just not been activated as its an upgrade.

Re: Speech button on steering wheel
But not without activating them on VAGCOM before leaving the garage :). Just been to VW and they looked at some list of all the equipment my car has on it. The RNS 315 was on there but no mention of the voice control. The tech said if it is not on there then it does not have it. He said the only way...

Re: Speech button on steering wheel
I have the RNS 315 in a GT and the button only mutes the sound for me. Looking in the handbook it reads like it should activate the voice command. Is this something that should have been enabled via Vag Com?

Re: Small black spot on candy
I honestly don't think it is tar. Tried again today and it won't budge. I've attached a photo, it is on the surface, as i can feel it with my thumb when i rub it over the spot.
