Hi
I discovered three little buttons on the interior light panel (which also houses the panoramic roof switch on mine). I took a (not very good) photo of them - see this
IMAG0249.jpg
In case the pic is not too good, the symbols are:
Star
i
spanner
what do they do? Cannot find reference in handbook..

They are quick dial buttons. the "i" calls VW and gets you through to their information line. The spanner symbol calles VW Assist and allegedly gives you higher priority over calling normally. I am a bit sceptical about this claim. Never been able to work out what the star button does.
There is a reference to them in the handbook in the Bluetooth supplement

Hi,
These three buttons used if you have factory fitted bluetooth installed.
''i" ---> Press for more than 2 sec and makes a call to VW Service Call Center for travel information.
''spanner" ---> Press for more than 2 sec and makes a call to VW Service Call Center for road assistance.
''star" ---> Short press : Answer or terminate a phone call. Also start or terminate a voice command for your RNS.
---> Long press : Reject an incoming phone call.
