Iphone 4 - ios 5... Poor audio quality via Mdi?

hi all.
I upgraded my Iphone to the latest OS a few weeks ago. I used the phone in my roc for the first time on Friday and noticed that the audio quality has worsened quite severely....
I checked the Mdi connector was secure and rebooted the phone, but this has not made a difference.
Has anyone else come across this problem too? My car is an 11 plate, so perhaps a firmware upgrade has been released.
Would be interested to see if this has affected anyone else though...
Cheers,
Dan.

I have noticed this it ocassionally crackles but there is no pattern and each time the track has finished and moves onto the next one it sounds as if it skips, however if I use the controls to skip through the tracks this does not happen. Very confusing

Apple have done something to the DSP in iOS5 for audio playback which seems to be affecting some people (including me). There are a few threads on the Apple support forums and some workarounds or partial fixes. Apparently Apple UK at least are aware of the problem, so I'm hoping a fix will come, otherwise I will throw my 3GS in the bin! If you have any individual track volume adjustments set in iTunes then some have found resetting these all to 0 has helped.
