Guys puts Scirocco through living room wall!!

I was with a client today who spotted my car and it got him talking about a crash he had noticed yesterday.
Turns out the guy was coming around a corner, lost control, went through a bus stop, went over a hill, through 2 tree's, a wire fence and then straight through the wall of a families 1st floor living room! He must have been absolutely flooring it!
They had to cut the roof off the car, but considering the journey through several solid objects im surprised that he and the car survived at all!! Just look at how intact the main cell of the car is!

Hopefully no one on here. Looking at the mess it's in it's just a good job everyone is ok.

It does look a mess but I suspect the Firemen used their jaw cutters to remove the roof. Maybe due to the occupants possibly having suspected back injuries. The roof being pushed down restricting access. I hope they are OK.

I used to be quite good at turning saloons into roadsters. Cutting gear used would have been Holmatro or Lucas hydraulic cutting equipment, they would have gone through the A pillar like a knife through butter. The Roc has a massive C pillar so it would have to be compressed a little first so the jaws of the cutter could get to work, that might be a bit much for the Holmatro but the bigger Lucas equipment would get through it.
Looks like the passenger cell of the Roc was very safe, the brick wall of the house would have taken the brunt of the forces of the crash so most of the energy would have gone through the house walls and not the car.
The Rocco is a very safe car, well planted and has all the uptodate systems for keeping you on the black stuff. Like all cars the weakest part is always the nut behind the wheel.
