Had my 170 tdi about a month now its my second rocco, the first being a 210 tsi, when cornering fast on smooth surfaces especially on those big roundabouts, i am experiencing lots of lift off oversteer! whereas the 210tsi was more neutral? first time it happened on my way home from dealers nearly lost it! is it the extra weight of the engine? anybody had similar hairy moments?

There's a secret to this, don't lift off quickly, if at all, as you are transferring the weight back to the front making it easy for those big tyres to grip again. A gentle lift will tighten the line nicely from understeer.
Or the best approach, balance the car before the bend and increase throttle angle as the bend opens. Slow in fast out, it works for a number of things in life..........
apparently.
