Strange Bluetooth behaviour

Post by goatboy »

when I use my bluetooth handsfree it has a rather strange behaviour which I was just wondering if everyone elses did it or if its just me.
If I get an incoming call, when I click OK on the steering wheel to answer it the phone handset answers (and shows the call in progress on the handset) but the stereo keeps on ringing like its not been answered! If I press OK again it gets routed to the stereo and I can then use as normal.
Now this surely isn't right but has anyone else had this problem? :?
As far as I am aware its the latest bluetooth module (allows music streaming) and I'm using an HTC Legend android phone if it makes any difference.... (the phone doesn't do this in my old car)

I thought it was just me!

I've noticed the same problem too. Orignally just thought it was not being used to the controls as I only changed car a few weeks ago, but this weekend I started to think I wasnt me...My other 1/2 has a Tiguan and she just presses OK once on the wheel and the call connects. I had her call me when I thought about the problem as we were sat in the car the other day and I pressed ok and it appeared to answer, in as much as it stopped ringing, but i was saying hello and nothing was happening, after a few seconds delay the option 'Handsfree' appeared in the dash, a press of OK and the call connected....I was starting to think was it a problem with the Handsfree profile on my mobile (iPhone4) which has multiple options on screen when the call connects but as you are using a different phone maybe not...

Doesn't happen to me but I have the original rSAP bluetooth if that helps narrow it down a bit.

Quick update!
Tried an old Samsung phone on my bluetooth this morning and it worked perfectly.
So it looks like its a problem with my android.
Oh well, nearly upgrade time....
