Not sure what they are using now but i had Dunlop sportmaxx GT's on mine, ps my 19's are 235-35-19 so they wont be that size , they are probably 235-40-18

The Dunlops are fine, one of the better tyres i have had fitted, they may be putting other tyres on now, the R is a really good drive, better than my Edition 30, only downside is the visibility is a little bit worse.

nice one guys!!! thanks for all the replies, really appreciate it. Pirelli's do wear out easily but they have so much grip. the reason i ask is i do alot of driving in Europe in the summer and on my MK4 R32 i had continentals, i know the car was 4x4 but jeez the grip was amazing and so was the durability. what was also impressive was the wet weather performance. im getting my R in 3 weeks, got the call on the friday, couldnt sleep to honest, ive got my holidays booked for the last 2 weeks in august so really hoping to have a week or so with it before i drive off into the sunset.

If you've got the dollar, get the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports... best tyre out there.

I had the Conti sport 2's on mine and have no replaced all 4 with the Michelin pilot sport 3's.
The Michelin are far far better in the wet. I was constantly loosing traction off the mark with the Conti's to the point that I had to adjust my driving style. Took me a good week of driving to get used to just putting the foot down again with the Michelins.
The spec for 18" wheels is: 235 40 18Y 91/95. From what I've read you can reduce the 40 to 35 but this then exposes the alloys to more abuse from curbs (If you let your Roc near curbs that is).

= Madness! I also have that involuntary, cattle prod jerk and wince when Mrs P drives near them!

Has anyone bought 235/35 19 91Y Bridgestone Potenza RE050 lately?
Trying to get two replacements for the R, can't find anyone with stock. Back order from Bridgestone Japan apparently.
I would rather not mix brands, thanks.

I swapped all 4 for Conti SC3s last year
Not sure if the lower load rated 87 Y will do for the R. 545kg per corner vs 615kg for the 91Y

Rears have loads of tread still so loathed to change them at £200+ per corner.
Did plan to change them over front to back so i could change all four at the same time but the speed at which they wore has caught me out.

yeah 6k would have been about right for me. Swapped the GT tyres at 10,000 and that was fine but those were Pirellis.
