3 week old Rising Blue

Well it's rained almost every day since I got it, so I gave it a quick wash today (Simoniz original wax still immaculately beading after 3.5 weeks) and drove it to the road at the end of our square, for a better view beyond the car.
Inside the car, with R pedals, R gearstick and slidey cup holder (this one is at the back of the house, the rest are riverside):-
Close-up R gearstick and slidey cup holder:-
Outside, Close-up:-
Outside, facing mouth of the Tyne:-
Outside, facing South Shields, with a boat:-
I couldn't be bothered to cover up the plates, people see the full plate when i'm out on the road. Someone local might recognise the plate and give a wave/honk.

Nice
How are you finding the extra 30bhp? Noticeable? Better?

Kev: accelerating from a standstill, or from the sliproad onto the dual carriageway on my daily commute from 25mph straight up to indicated 80mph - if the road is clear, it doesn't feel much faster than my well ran in 140 - this 170 seems tighter from new than the 140 did, or maybe it seems that way because the 140CR was such a huge jump in refinement and power delivery from the 170 PD Golf I had before that, and 140CR to 170CR is a jump in power only, but the refinement and power delivery make it feel not as fast as it actually is?
Mid range is hugely better in the 170, it accelerates from 50-80 in 6th as well as the 140 did in 4th, and the car seems to be a little looser everytime i'm in it - it's got about 750 miles on the clock now.

RW1: Most likely, Tyne Dock is about 1.5 miles further along the river from us.

I think the position is south side opposite, lot of seagulls around it.

Been lucky with the seagulls so far, they seem to aim for red and silver cars around here! They hang around the Fish Quay that's about 80 feet below the grassy bank you see in the photos.

Nice set of photographs. Car looks good. Just got back from a few days at Tenby and although my Indium Grey was hit once a red Golf GTI parked about 50 feet away was plastered.

Faigy: Audi TT/Roc/Golf/Scoda Octavia all use the same pedals - avoid Skoda fabia and VW polo pedals. Have a look around on the international ebay postings for Skoda Octava pedals, someone in the Czech republic is knocking out sets for about £60. Confirm that the pedals are a RHD set and ask the seller to tell you what the part numbers are (so you can check before you commit to buying)
