VW chose the Essen Motorshow in Germany (Nov. 28 to 7 Dec.) to announce the market launch of the Scirocco "Collector's Edition" that will be available from early 2009 in a limited number of 100 units. Anymore news on when this might be available and at what cost?

The piano black trim is available in Europe as part of a 4 piece kit - you get the trim along the dash (3 pieces) and the centre console cover (1 piece).

It costs €189 and is also available in Carbon Fibre - unfortunately only the centre console will fit the UK models as the other dash pieces are LHD only.

I can get part no's should anyone want them - I'd need to google some of the French forums again

I'll be having the piano black in my car which should arrive around end of June. If anybody wants to swap for aluminium ones I'll be happy to do so as long as it's easily removable which I guess shouldn't be an issue

No. It will be LHD. It was part of the Sport Pack option and I only mean the dash bits, not the central console as visible on limited edition's photo.
