I managed to waggle some free Supagard treatment for my motor inside and out. I want to know if there is an issue to applying a decent wax to the car every three or four months on top of the Supagard. I have checked the Supagard site and they say the whole point of the product is to REDUCE the amount of times you have to wax your car rather than eliminate it. I am a big cynic when it comes to products like these and would rather get it right protecting my cars paint from day one. On saying that my last car had diamondbrite on it and it was great. You could really tell as the car was black and it gave a really nice shine.

Secondly, what wax would everyone recommend? I dont mind shelling out a few quid for a decent wax if it is going to look after my paint!! The stuff Supagard provide is a watery polish, NOT a wax so I dont like it!

i got supagard thrown in and reckon its a big con and only as good as the monkey who puts it on

From what I have read, Supaguard is a bit of a con.

There is a test on detailing world that pits it against many different sealants that you may find of interest.

Best to make up your own minds though based on your own good / bad experiences. If you get it free then it can't be bad!
