What is it with BMW drivers?

Since I got my Scirocco I've noticed an odd phenomenon when driving it, which is the effect it has on BMW drivers.
If I overtake a BMW, or am merely in front of a BMW, they have to then get in front of me... whatever it takes!
I've just had a BMW 318 Coupe, dawdling along, so I overtook, at 40 on a 40mph limited section of dual carriageway, and this was like a red rag to a bull so he accelerated and overtook me. Due to traffic he got caught at the next roundabout (and in the wrong lane, as it turned out) and I went round the roundabout and on to a further section of dual carriageway which has a 50mph limit so I set my cruise control to 50mph (it also regularly has mobile speed cameras on it, just in case you think I'm a real goody two shoes!

) and lo and behold BMW boy (actually a man of about 50 ) comes past doing about 80!
This sort of behaviour happens every time I drive my Scirocco near a BMW (especially 3 series), or so it seems. Any explanation?

Mondeo drivers for me. They're idiots around these parts. I personally think it comes from thinking they've failed in life or something. lol. Well, that's the joke we had at work.

Better Make Way.
My wife will be doing most of the driving when the Rocco arrives, if it ever arrives, so she is expecting to be picked on. Happened a lot when she was driving her Honda Civic VTi.

Audi drivers have a bad reputation here as well, but I've had no problems with them so far. Maybe some sort of VAG solidarity?

It would appear that a lot of new Audi drivers are former BMW drivers. They switched after BMWs became pig ugly and we had 2 icy/snowy winters in the UK, making those rear wheel drive BMWs a nightmare to keep on the road and out of the verge.
Bloody Mad W**kers

I have found found I get all kinds of helmets trying to race me, 330s, Renaultsports, Focus STs, Type Rs, I even had a "sport yaris" try his look, shame they didnt notice the little R on the back as they were soon eating my dust.

Dusted a Type R the other day. Not bad for a Standard Roc. He did say he had something done to his turbo too which was making me wonder if it was detrimental to his motor as it seemed to be.

Type R doesn't have a turbo.
Must say I don't really get anyone having a go, glad really cause I bought the diesel Roc to slow myself down a bit and it's worked and I must say am really enjoying the car.

My experience is just the opposite. Everyone pulls over to the slower lane and let's me pass them. everyone likes to follow a Scirocco here! :-)

I tend to get it more from VW GOLF drivers. Especially GTI or R32. At one point, some guy pulled next to me in a golf GTI and says to me on the lights race him. It was 2am roads were clear. and I felt sorry for him because I absolutely left him and i don't think he realised it was an R lol.
Next set of traffic lights his window was up and he didn't look at me lol

I try not to upset any BMW driver these days. With sales target ever getting harder and egoes ever deflated inside their pinstripe suits, overtaking one is like kicking someone while they are down.
BMW, AUDI drivers, they are just 9-5vers burning company fuel.
pls show some compassion to these souless creatures, trapped by their bluetooth 'jawbones' which they even wear it to go grocery shopping....
