Seat covers?

Some advice needed on whether to put seat covers on and which type to go for.
Car has the cloth seats and are heated. I keep catching the bolster upon entry/exit and it's getting a bit fluffy including the stitching.
Should I go for seat covers before it wears through and which type should I get or get a leather re-fit or just live with it?
Some advice would be much appreciated.

I always slide the seat back when I get out then it's easy to avoid touching the side bolster. Never done it in any other car but for some reason it's 2nd nature in the Scirocco.

Where did you get it done, and how much did it cost? How is the quality? I would love some info.

Try the Merlin seat cover from VW ! All seat trim even leather ones are only seat covers. If you don't fancy doing it yourself you are more than likely to find a specialist re trim company locally and more importantly cheaper labour rates than your dealer.

I think you should go for the leather;
Ours are, and I have constantly been paranoid since getting the car about this, as I wear studded belts etc, and I catch my zips on seats all the time.
I am pleasantly surprised at how well the seats are taking this grief, they seem pretty robust... :yes:

Dont know how old MANNO 's car is.but itook mine in for its first service on the 1/3 and pointed out bolster is getting fluffy and going a bit lighter grey (probably due to buckle on my jacket).As car only ayear old and done 7000 miles,they are going to recover cloth trim on bolster under warranty .A bit of luck i think.
