hi all i ordered my scirocco last week in candy white then i seen my 1st viper green in the flesh this morning so i rang my dealer and asked him if it was to late to change the colour to viper green he has told me that the colour has been discontinued is he pulling my leg and cant be botherd to change the paper work?
also what are your thought on the colour bein discontinued?

Would be a wounder to discontinue. Cars all look the same these days, the more variety of colours the better. The Ford range from Ka to Mondeo are like a brother and sister.

May be due to the stuff needed to mix the paint was maufactured in Japan and since the disaster lots of car makers are puliing colours at the moment

Also they sometimes just rename colours and subtly change them. Shadow blue was dropped for night blue and they look almost the same. As week 22 is the model year change, it might be a colour swap.

i really hope your right , we dont want too many going around making them common do we ?

I'd like the new shade to be a little greener if there is a change. What name will they come up with? Can't think of a better name than Viper green.

Well my better half saw one the other day and called it Kermit Green... so who knows!!

Rural Green, Royal Green, Volt Green. I dunno could be anything if they do change it. I think it'll be more darker. Not so "lairy" which is a shame.

So the people with the Viper Green Roc's will be in an exclusive club now......

It's such a great colour.

No official update according to my source so definitely smacks of the dealer not wanting to do the paperwork to change the order. Also any colour changes are usually announced during the model change updates.

definitely no official word that it has been discontinued, definitely a lazy dealer. case closed for now.

My freind has just took delivery of his 1.4tsi in viper green and it was available for me to order last week when i placed my order

Saw my first viper green on the road through Salisbury on Tuesday, they do look good!

Apart from Grey (Indium I prefer to Pewter), I think Green is the best one.

I own a Viper Green 2.0 GT, but I really like the new Oak colour, especially with 'truffle' leather. BTW, did you know that Viper Green was originally a Porsche colour, reserved for RS models?

Viper green is the colour I`m hoping to get when my Golf GTI goes!!
