Power cut

Just pulling out from a junction onto a busy a road which has to be done with some vigour and the power seemed to completly cut just for a moment before coming back in. It had just rained quite hard and i was giving it some beans so i'm thinking it was the traction control kicking in but i never noticed it flashing on the dash although i did have my eyes more on the road / mirrors. Car seems to drive fine throughout the rev range and no error messages have flashed up. Any thoughts on anything else it might have been or that i should check?

Cheers,

Deacon

Traction control can come in quite hard if you're giving it beans in the wet.

Had the same thing happen again tonight but this time on a bone dry road. Happily drove through the rev range after but I did notice that in fourth gear higher up the rev range the power did seem to trail off but when I tried the same in second and third it pulled strongly to the redline.

Any thoughts?
