Hi Guys,
Just back from a test drive in a 2010 Scirocco 2.0 TSI 210, black heated leather, lugano's and just over 3000 miles on the clock, was blown away by the car, fantastic power and ride, made my Swift Sport seem like a canal boat on the drive home.
Going back tomorrow morning to try to drive a good deal, cars priced at 21.5k, no trade in, what should I be aiming for? The car will be financed
Dealer was surprisingly easy to get on with and said theres room to bargin, I'm only 22 and it took alot of discussion before I finally got a drive in the thing haha Think initially he thought I was there for a hot lap.

I would say just knock of whatever you can little is better than nothing also see if you can get your servicing in for free always a big cost saver if you can!
I had same issue as you i was only 21 when i got mine and the 1st couple of sales guys basically told me to bugger off!
Good Luck mate and hope you enjoy the car, I certinally have!

With no trade in, i'd be coming in slightly low at £19k to maybe get it for £20k. It would be handy to know how long they had it before you arrived. The new car plate rush is long gone now, they need to be selling cars in what is a quiet period for them. Come in low and expect to be met half-way, you have nothing to lose, and they have no leverage over you for part ex. It all depends on what they got it for as a part ex or maybe it's an ex demo/dealership manager's car, and how soon they need to shift it to meet this months target (although it is early in the month).

Sounds like my first report after a test drive
I reckon £20k is a good target too but anything is better than nothing.
Have you checked the insurance? At 21 it'll be a bit steep!

Thanks for the advice guys,
Managed to get service sorted for £49 for 2 years. Apparently its some new deal they've introduced. They were trying to get me to get that Supaguard rubbish and gap insurance together for £450, So I've a few quotes online for gap which I hope to use for bargaining on that front.
Insurance is all checked out, £1670 for a years cover, scary but yeah, Northern Ireland, 22, Male, 3 Points, Prev Non Fault Accident.
Hopefully I can get a decent deal out of them, they seem pretty keen to get it sold, I think they've had it a few months now.
Can't get over how quick it was, even in 6th gear from 60, rolling on the power, It felt not disimilar to my Swift in 3rd at those speeds haha.
Ride wasn't bad for having 19 inch rims either.
Hope everything works out anyway and I get it on the drive and several coats of decent wax on her!
Oh, I'm expecting to get about 30-35 MPG out of it, what sort of range do you get on a tank?

I was looking at that one recently check the front alloys one has a large dent, likely pot hole damage. It's a small world.
Ps the dent was huge the whole wheel would need replaced.
